Golden Chain Afghan

Trying out a new pattern, of my own design. It is based on a sock pattern I made a few years ago. They were a lovely golden color, hence the name. I just finished a prayer shawl using this yarn (Hobby Lobby's "I love this yarn!" ) for a friend of my sister-in-law, in this same stitch pattern, and I thought it would make a nice afghan, so I ordered the yarn online, and started knitting as soon  as it arrived.
Gauge is not important. I used size 8 circular needles. Colorway is "Brights"
The pattern is a simple repeating pattern as follows:

Using a long tail cast on, cast on 147 st.
Border: work in garter st 6 rows.
Pattern: sl 1st st all rows
row 1 k all st
row 2 p all st
rows 3-5 k all st
row 6 p all st
row 7-8 k all st
row 9 k2, (yo k2tog) repeat (-) to last st k 1
row 10 k all st
Repeat rows 1-10 until afghan is desired length.
Work border. Bind off.

Hope you like it! Let me know if there are any problems! Share pics of you make it!
